Bloom HR Solutions

We’ve just finished building a website for Bloom HR Solutions. We decided to use the purple colour scheme that we also used on the letterheads and business cards. Alison Seaward-Birchall MCIPD delivers tailored HR consultancy solutions for employers across Northumberland; Newcastle-upon-Tyne and the Scottish borders. Bloom HR Solutions provide practical advice and support on employee relations and all related employment matters. We have tried to have a business-looking site that also reflects the style used in their other print materials.

I've been buying Tetley Tea and hadn't realised that they'd changed their logo and tweaked their branding. They have such a strong brand, which I think has been enhanced by the new design. I've known about the new Argos logo for since the start of the year, but I'm not sure if it improves their image any? Apparently the new curve represents a smile, but with online shopping now eating away at the old Argos collection point model, they will need all the cheer they can get if they are to survive as a unique retail outlet.

Scottish Thistle Awards

Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park has been selected for the Scottish Daily Mail Readers’ Choice Award and the Scottish Daily Mail Kids’ Choice Award, as part of the Scottish Thistle Awards 2010. They are now in the final 3, results to be announced this Friday (29th Oct). I have been involved in the branding of the park over the last 7 years and I'd say I've played my part to improve their popularity. I hope they win.

ScotlandShop new website

Well Done, everyone at ScotlandShop what a great new website. I think this new look will raise the profile of their brand. I had a chance to be involved in the design of their site about eight years ago, but that was back in the days of web01 when we had to consider small thumbnail images as normal. With retail online marketing, having a good brand image, good photography and clear and easy to navigate website is essential. We live in a world now where everyones expectations are much higher now, so all web users expect instant results, which is sometimes difficult to produce. Anyway, love the new site, especially the Argyl Jackets…!!

Nuit Blanche

I Visited Toronto last October and went to the Nuit Blanche Festival. The festival of light goes on all night. There were some pretty impressive art installations.

Brazilian Designs

We recently did some work for our Brazilian friends at the Mizen Head Hotel. They organised a charity event for the victims of Haiti and we have also done some promotional stuff for their dance classes.

New Logos

Just thought I'd post a couple of logos that I've designed here at Fantasy Prints. One was for a customer that does Bowen Therapy. I tried to capture the circular movement from the treatments that Angela does. Also we have done a new logo for Niall Whyte for The Real Firewood Company .

Vehicle Graphics

At Fantasy Prints, we recently wrapped a Land Rover for Blair Drummond Safari Park. Well it was a half wrap, but it still added an extra bit of colour to a work vehicle.
Whenever I travel, I usually end up taking photos of the impressive graphics that I see when I'm walking around. I visited Toronto last October and noticed that they have wrapped all their trams (Street Cars) Good use of advertising, I think, because they were otherwise boring. I also really like the City TV vehicle graphics in Toronto. I think you can really make a commercial vehicle look really smart by putting some impressive graphics on it. It is good advertising, but it can be done in a tasteful way too. I also really liked the huge billboards inside the Eaton Centre, some cool bus wrap and the view from my hotel showed the corner of Dundas Square as the sun was setting. I walked through Dundas Square this time for the first time in a few years (Last few visits I must have just not went that way) but I think they are trying to make Dundas like Canadas version of Times square...only better of course!
